The NRA supports the right to keep and bear arms as clearly stated in the Second Amendment. He said he supports "fair trade" but I was unable to find out just exactly what "fair trade" means. Office. It was suggested that the banner for the table be based on the theme, "Abolish the Income
Tax". Al warned of the need for umbrellas by those helping him during the day. Dan Fernandes and
Tom Carroll volunteered and were assigned the day shift from noon till 6 PM. Volunteers Jim Bayes,
Alan Sands, and Biggadike were assigned the night shift from 6 PM till midnight.
A vote was taken on what to call our monthly get togethers and the name, Supperclub, was
chosen.
Dan Fernandes mentioned that he had written to David Dreier (Representative California 28th
District, http://dreier.house.gov/) and that Drier had disagreed
with him on the issue of the medical use of marijuana. He said Drier cited polls indicating that
the majority were against the use of marijuana. This calls for convincing the majority that
marijuana laws are bad and making sure politicians know that the majority are against these laws.
Dan mentioned that the publication, "Imprimis", might be of interest to libertarians and that a
free subscription could be received by writing to Imprimis@hillsdale.edu.
Attendees at the meeting were asked to provide their name and e-mail address. This information has
since been put into a file and e-mailed to the attendees.
